I discovered this blanket company at a London Christmas Fair earlier in the year. The blankets are so soft and the designs and colours are contemporary but versatile. They are also practical; machine washable and the cotton blankets are reversible. Win, win!!
Then I started talking to the owner of the company and discovered the story behind the blankets. It is a family run company in Cornwall that take their inspiration from their love of the sea. Many of the designs are clearly inspired by the sea e.g. swell, tide and shell!
The cotton blankets they produce are made in England using offcuts of cotton from t-shirt making factories, that would have otherwise been sent to landfill. The process involves no re-dyeing saving on extra water energy and chemical products which is a significant environmental benefit. The recycled cotton is spun and transformed into eco sustainable blankets.
They also make beautiful herringbone 100% wool blankets in a wide selection of colours. The thermal and breathability qualities of wool mean that these blankets will provide instant warmth and ultimate coziness.
In store we have King blankets in both the recycled cotton and the 100% wool. Other designs and sizes are available to order and if you hurry, will be here before Christmas.
Alex and I have also been busy making and painting and have some beautiful decorations to spruce up your home this Christmas. The origami stars (made from Farrow & Ball wallpaper) look beautiful as present bows, or strung together as a garland. The perfect touch for your fireplace or table. We also have a selection of candlesticks and tea light holders painted in some of our favourite colours.
